In public databases available most accurate US county map by states, county seats, counties by FIPS codes . (Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS), now known as Federal Information Processing Series, are numeric codes assigned by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Typically, FIPS codes deal with US states and counties. US states are identified by a 2-digit number, while US counties are identified by a 3-digit number.)
The first two of the five-digit fips codes, the state’s, are not marked, only the three-digit numbers per county are shown under the names of the counties on the Texas state vector map.
